Abstract
The aim of this article is to explore the place, influence and role of Durkheim in sociology of culture. Furthermore, it suggests to reevaluate and reread the works of classical sociologist in the context of cultural sociology. It has been also asserted that Durkheim is a very important figure for cultural sociological researches. His concepts, such as ritual, symbol, sense, make him an important part of sociology of culture.
Abstract
Bu makale, Emile Durkheim'ın kültür sosyolojisindeki yerini, etkisini ve rolünü betimleyici bir şekilde belirleme amacındadır. Ayrıca, Durkheim örneğinde klasik dönem sosyologlarının yapıtlarını kültür sosyolojisi etrafında yeniden değerlendirmeyi ve okumayı önermektedir. Durkheim'ın kültür sosyolojisi çalışmalarında mutlaka değerlendirilmesi gereken bir figür olduğu ifade edilmektedir. Yapıtlarında yoğun bir şekilde tartıştığı ritüel, sembol, duygu gibi kavramlar, Durkheim'ı kültür sosyolojisine dahil etmektedir.
