Yüzme Havuzlarındaki Suda Boğulma Vakalarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Suda
boğulma; sıvı bir ortam içerisinde batmadan/ dalmadan kaynaklanan solunum
bozulması ile giden süreçler dizisi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Suda boğulma günümüzde bir halk sağlığı problemidir. Ülkemizde
her yıl yaklaşık olarak 1000’e yakın kişi boğulmaktadır. Bu boğulmaların bir
kısmı yüzme havuzlarında meydana gelmektedir. 
Araştırmanın amacı 2011-2016 yılları arasında meydana gelen havuzda
boğulma vakalarının incelenmesidir. Bu araştırmada online
arama motorlarında 1 Ocak 2011 ile 31 Aralık 2016 tarihleri arasında “havuzda
boğuldu, havuza düştü boğuldu, suda boğuldu vb.” gibi anahtar kelimeler
taranmış ve boğulma ile ilgili haberler günlük olarak toplanmıştır. Kazazedelerin
kişisel bilgileri, havuz türleri, orada bulunma sebebi vb. gibi veriler
kaydedilmiştir. Verilerin analizi SPSS 18.0 kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma
sonucunda havuzlarda boğulmaların en çok yaz aylarında meydana
gelmiştir. Erkek bireylerin kadın bireylere oranla daha fazla boğulduğu tespit
edilmiştir.

The Examination Of Drowning in Water Cases in the Swimming Pool

Abstract

Drowning
is defined as the process of experiencing respiratory impairment from submersion/immersion
in liquid. Drowning
is a public health problem. Although the exact number cannot be determined, approximately 1000
people drowning each year in Turkey. Part of this drowning is happening in
swimming pools. The aim
of this study is to examine the drowning accidents in pool which resulted in
death between 2011 and 2016. News was
searched online via search engines with using keywords such as “drowning in
pool, drown by falling in pool, drowning etc.”,for this study.  The news was collected day by day between
January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2016. Personal information of victims, types
of pool, reasons for being there was recorded. 
Analysis of the data was performed using SPSS 18.0. As a result of the
research, drowning in the pools occurred mostly in the summer months. It has
been found that males had higher drowning rates than females.
