Cemal Aksu Ali Şîr Nevâyî’de Mevlâna Lutfî Tesiri (Musammatlar)
Ali Şir Nevâi is one
of the prominent figures in our literature and cultural life. He authored about
thirty pieces of work both in prosaic and poetic forms. He seemed to have read
and understood all of the poets prior to his time. Among those, his favorite
Turkish writing poet was Mevlânâ Lutfî with whom he had had the opportunity to
have actually meet. It is possible to observe this influence in the four
Turkish divans which Nevai gathered together. In this paper we wish to explore
the tahmis and tesdis Nevai made to Lutfi’s gazels.
