Meanings of Religious Studies for Theologians
Abstract
Sociology, which is the sociology of society, can not understand the societies that have lived in the history in the past but at the same time it can be placed in the first place among the social sciences to understand and explain the societies that we live in.. When understanding sociology, it should be kept in mind that this science has a place in history and science classification. Speaking of the language of sociology is, of course, the result of an equipment and an experience to be achieved. In terms of learning theology, sociology is a science, and there are sections of theologians who have different value judgments. In addition to positive attitudes towards sociology, which is the subdiscipline of philosophical theology and its subdiscipline, the negative attitudes of the professors in the different branches who graduated from theology are worth understanding. The discussions of the sources of these evaluations exceed the boundaries of this research. It can be said that the field of theology and theologians use the science of sociology and their attitudes at the point of ownership of this science vary but as a result they have a decisive attitude. Moreover, it is noteworthy that a number of institutional steps have been taken in order to exclude social sciences from theology. Understanding these different points of view, we are in an effort to take a step that we believe is small but valuable in the points of our articles.
