Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Publication Ethics and Responsibilities

The publication processes applied in the *Journal of Geomorphological Research (JADER)* form the foundation for the impartial and respected development and dissemination of knowledge. These processes directly reflect the quality of the work of authors and their supporting institutions. Peer-reviewed studies embody and reinforce the scientific method. Therefore, it is essential that all stakeholders in the process (authors, readers, researchers, publishers, reviewers, and editors) adhere to ethical standards. Within the framework of publication ethics, JADER expects all stakeholders to uphold the following responsibilities.

The ethical duties and responsibilities outlined below have been prepared in accordance with the guidelines and policies published by the **Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)**.

Publishing an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a fundamental building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. This reflects directly on the quality of the work of authors and their institutions. Peer-reviewed articles support and shape scientific methods. Therefore, agreement on expected ethical standards is important for all parties involved in publishing: authors, journal editors, reviewers, and publishers.
