Parotis Bezinde Dev Lipom

Abstract

Parotis bezi lipomları, histolojik olarak olgun yağ dokusuna benzer, iyi huylu tümörlerdir ve genellikle fibroz kapsül ile çevrili olmaları, onları basit yağ birikimlerinden ayıran bir özellik olarak kabul edilir. Bu tümörler, parotis bezi tümörlerinin küçük bir yüzdesini temsil eder ve çeşitli çalışmalarda rapor edilen sıklıkları %0.6 ile %4.4 arasında değişmektedir. Bu vaka sunumunda parotis bezi kaynaklı dev lipomun tanı tedavi yöntemleri güncel literatür eşliğinde değerlendirlecektir.

Giant Lipoma in the Parotid Gland

Abstract

Parotid gland lipomas are benign tumors that histologically resemble mature adipose tissue. Their encapsulation by a fibrous capsule is considered a distinguishing feature that sets them apart from simple fat deposits. These tumors represent a small percentage of parotid gland tumors, with reported prevalence rates ranging from 0.6% to 4.4% in various studies. This case report aims to evaluate the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for a giant lipoma originating from the parotid gland in light of current literature.
