Abstract
Maksillofasiyal bölgede yabancı cisim, nadir görülen
özellikle derin yerleşimli olduğunda acil ve kulak burun boğaz hekimlerince
kolayca atlanabilinecek bir patolojidir. Tanı koymada iyi bir anemnez,
dikkatlice yapılan yara yeri temizliği ve eksplorasyon ve görüntüleme
yöntemleri faydalıdır. Bu yazıda 51 yaşında maksillofasiyal travmadan dört ay
sonra gelişen yüzde şişlik şikayeti ile
kliniğimize başvuran hasta olgusu sunulmuştur. Hastaya uygulanan cerrahide beklenmedik
bir şekilde yabancı cisim ile
karşılaşılmıştır. Hastanın anemnezi derinleştirildiğinde travma sonrası
maksillofasiyal bölgedeki ciltte defekt oluştuğu öğrenildi. Muhtemelen yabancı
cisim bu defektten girmiş ve acil
serviste fark edilmeyip primer sütüre edilmiş.Maksillofasiyal travma ile
başvuran her hasta yabancı cisim
açısından değerlendirilmeli ve buna yönelik tanı ve tedavi işlemleri
uygulanmalıdır.
