ZORLUKLARINA RAĞMEN ALIŞABİLDİK Mİ? COVİD-19 PANDEMİSİNDE MASKE KULLANIM ALIŞKANLIKLARI VE ZORLUKLARI

Abstract

Amaç Bu çalışmada; 2020 yılının mart ayından itibaren Covid-19 salgını sebebiyle takılması zorunlu hale gelen maskelerin, Türkiye’de yaşayan bireyler tarafından kullanım alışkanlıklarının ve bireylerin maske kullanım sırasında karşılaştıkları zorlukların tespit edilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Gereç ve Yöntem Çalışma; çoktan seçmeli saptayıcı sorular çerçevesinde online anket platformu üzerinden, randomize 1524 gönüllü katılımcı eşliğinde gerçekleştirildi. Katılımcılardan alınan veriler yüzdelik dilimlere vurularak çalışma amacı doğrultusunda oransal çıkarımlar elde edildi. Bulgular Çalışmaya dahil olan bireylerin anket sorularına verdikleri cevaplar incelendiğinde, katılımcıların büyük kısmı cerrahi maske kullanmakta olup %31,4’ünde çift maske kullanımı görülmektedir. “Maskeyi kendi sağlığımı korumak için kullanıyorum” önermesine katılımcıların %75,9’luk kesimi “her zaman” geri dönüşünü vermesine karşın, %76,2’ si “Maskeyi çevremdeki kişilerin sağlığını korumak için kullanıyorum” ibaresine “her zaman”, %40,1’lik kesim ise “Maskeyi zorunlu olduğu için kullanıyorum” ibaresine “her zaman” geri dönüşünü vermiştir. Katılımcıların %70,3’ü nefes almakta zorluk yaşadığını, %60,4’ü maske kullanım esnasında kulaklarında ağrı hissettiğini, %57,8’i maskenin kokusundan rahatsızlık duyduğunu, %34,3’ü burun kızarıklığı şikâyeti yaşadığını çalışma içerisinde beyan etti. Son olarak da katılımcılardan %48’i Covid-19 pandemisindeki radikal uzamanın maske kullanım hassasiyetlerinin arttırdığını, %34,3’ü de pandemi süreci sona erdikten sonra bile maske kullanımına devam edebileceklerini ifade etmiştir. Sonuç Yapılan bu çalışma ile maske kullanımında çeşitli sorunlarla karşılaşılma ihtimalinin yüksek olduğu , gündelik yaşantıyı olumsuz etkileyebilecek bu sorunlara rağmen bireylerin hem kendilerinin hem de çevrelerindekilerin sağlığını korumak amacıyla maske kullanımında hassasiyet gösterdiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

HAVE WE GOT USED TO IT DESPITE THE CHALLENGES? MASK USAGE HABITS AND USAGE DIFFICULTIES DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

Aim: In this study; It is aimed to identify the use of masks, which has become mandatory due to the Covid-19 epidemic since March 2020, the habits of individuals living in Turkey and the difficulties they face during the use of masks. Materials and Methods: Study; Within the framework of multiple-choice determinative questions, 1524 volunteers were randomized on the questionnaire platform. The data obtained were expressed in percentiles and inferences proportional to the purpose were obtained. Results: When the answers of the participants are examined, it is seen that 90% of the participants need to change a surgical mask, 31.4% double masks, 46.3% need to change masks within the day and 67.2% warn those who do not wear a mask. 75.9% of the same respondents gave "always" feedback to the statement "I use the mask to protect my health", 76.2% "always" to the statement "I use the mask to protect the health of the people around me". Finally, 48% of the participants stated that the radical extension in the Covid-19 epidemic process increased their sensitivity to mask use, and 34.3% stated that they could continue to use masks after the pandemic process is over. Conclusion: With this study, it was concluded that there is a high probability of encountering various problems in the use of masks and despite these problems that may negatively affect daily life, individuals show sensitivity in using masks in order to protect their health and those around them.
