Moral panic is defined as a reaction against people or groups that display deviant behavior, which is seen as a threat to social values and norms. The media exaggerates this situation, which is seen as a threat, so much that other events in the society are ignored. The media, which uses all the channels at its disposal while presenting the events; makes a situation, person or event in a perverted position in public opinion. By using the media, opinion leaders and dominant powers occupy the agenda by creating a culture of panic and fear in the public. In this study, it has been examined how the news about Syrians is a moral panic issue through the media. In this context, news about Syrians on the websites of A Haber and Halk TV were analyzed with the framing method, and it was found that the news about Syrians contained moral panic elements. In recent years, the media has made the news about Syrians visible, causing a moral panic in the public.
