Publication Model: Periodical Publication (March - September)

Archiving Policy

Articles published in the Journal of Communication and Society Research are digitally archived in LOCKSS. Published articles may also be made openly accessible by their authors in their institution's repository, subject-based repositories, or any other archive without an embargo period. This ensures that everyone can access this publication immediately and free of charge.

The Journal of Communication and Society Research is pleased to announce its archiving policy in accordance with its commitment to supporting the dissemination of research findings:

The Journal of Communication and Society Research permits authors to use the final published version of their articles (publisher PDF) for self-archiving (on the author's personal website) and/or for archiving in an institutional repository after publication.

Authors may self-archive their articles in publicly accessible and non-commercial subject-based repositories. There is no embargo period; however, the published source must be cited and a link to the journal's homepage or the articles' DOI must be provided.

Authors may download the article output as a PDF document and send copies of their articles to colleagues without any embargo. Commercial use is not permitted under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.

The Journal of Communication and Society Research permits all versions of articles (submitted version, accepted version, published version) to be stored in an institutional or other repository of the author's choice without embargo. However, commercial use and derivative works are subject to the restrictions of the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.

LOCKSS Digital Archiving System

The LOCKSS system is used to enable the creation of permanent archives. The LOCKSS Program, based at Stanford University Libraries, offers award-winning, low-cost, open-source digital preservation tools to provide libraries and publishers with permanent and authoritative access to digital content. The LOCKSS Program is a library-led digital preservation system built on the principle of "lots of copies keep stuff safe."
