Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: In this work, it was studied that the dyeing performance of dyestuff obtained from herbal wastes. Rosemary and cherry pulp were used as natural dye source. Optimum extraction times and optimum dyeing times were determined for each waste. Color measurements (CIELab coordinates) were evaluated and washing, rubbing fastness tests were performed for dyed samples on optimum conditions. At the end of the study, yellow, light and dark shades of green and pink-powder color tones were obtained. Washing fastness values of the samples were determined as the highest 5, the lowest 3/4, and rub fastness values were determined the highest 5 and the lowest 4.
