About the Journal

The Journal of Engineering Sciences and Design (e-ISSN: 1308-6693) is an international peer-reviewed scientific research journal established in 2010, published under the editorship of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Süleyman Demirel University, and indexed by field indexes.

Since 2018, the journal has been published four times a year, in March, June, September, and December.

The Journal of Engineering Sciences and Design evaluates original research articles in the fields of Computer, Environmental, Electrical-Electronics, Industrial, Food, Civil, Geophysical, Geological, Chemical, Mechanical, Mining, Automotive, and Textile Engineering, and provides editorial support to the scientific publication process in these fields.

Focus and Scope

Just original scientific research articles including the areas of engineering science and design are published in the languages of Turkish and English.

Peer Review Process

The journal employs a double-blind peer review system. Manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent national and/or international reviewers with expertise appropriate to the subject and scope of the study. Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, manuscripts may receive a decision of Acceptance, Rejection, Major Revision (Resubmit for Evaluation), or Minor Revision (Revision Required). The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the evaluation process. The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editorial Board.

Open Access Policy

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

Publication Frequency

Four times in a year including in March, June, September and December regularly.

Stop Plagiarism

Starting in January 1, 2016, all articles submitted to the journal for a possible publication are passed the plagiarism and originality checking report by using iThenticate: Plagiarism Detection Software package program before being submitted to the approval of the editor. Similarity report will be sent on the editorial board to be checked. Depending on this report, the articles can be declined or can be submitted to the editor to be evaluated.
