Importance Of Prenata Diagnosis Of Congenital Toxoplasmosis: A Case Report

Abstract

Seroprevalence of congenital toxoplasmosis is high in our country. Here, we present a case who had prenatal diagnosis of hydrocephalus, admitted to our hospital for ventriculoperitoneal shunt infection on postnatal 23th day got diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis. Our aim for presenting this case is to emphasize on congenital toxoplasmosis in differential diagnosis of etiology of the antenatal and postnatal hydrocephalus.

Konjenital Toksoplazmozisde Antenatal Tanının Önemi: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Ülkemizde konjenital toksoplazmozis seroprevelansı yüksektir. Burada, prenatal hidrosefali tanısı alan ve postnatal 23. günde hastanemize ventriküloperitoneal şant enfeksiyonu ile yatırılan ve izleminde konjenital toksoplazmozis tanısı alan bir olgu sunulmaktadır. Olguyu sunmaktaki amacımız, antenatal ve postnatal tanılı hidrosefali olgularında ayırıcı tanıda diğer hidrosefali yapan nedenler kadar konjenital toksoplazmozisin de düşünülmesini vurgulamaktır.
