HIV Infection In Pregnancy

Year 2018, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 87 - 89, 01.04.2018

Abstract

Over the last 2 decades, management of the pregnant woman with human immundeficiency virus HIV has changed significantly, in line with the evolution of drug technology and a better understanding of the perinatal transmission prevention strategies. Routine HIV testing and viral load evaluation during pregnancy, effective antiretroviral drug use, cesarean section when indications are present and avoiding of breastfeeding are the actual major steps in the pregnancy follow-up. In this review, we report the latest management strategies in a pregnant woman with HIV.

Gebelikte HIV Enfeksiyonu

Year 2018, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 87 - 89, 01.04.2018
