Pretest Posttest Results For Basic Principles In Gynecologic Surgery Course

Year 2018, Volume: 15 Issue: 1, 14 - 16, 01.01.2018

Abstract

Aim: Surgical skills were acquired during medical school and residency. In common, candidates have learned these skills via observation in the operating room or under supervision of consultants tradfitionally. In our knowledge, this is the first study among gynecology and obstetrics residents in Turkey with this study we aimed to determine the possible benefit of these educations and also we planned to define this study as a template for describing the timing, duration and structure of the kind of educations.Material and Methods: Pre-prepared questionnere were given to the attendents of Basic Principles In Gynecologic Surgery Course. They are asked to fill the questionnere just before and after the education for data analysis. Results: When pre-test results were examined the mean of all group was determined as 14,73 ± 6,27 mean ± SD The overall result for post-test were determined as 21,9±7,11 . It is observed that the overall scores were increasing when the time spent during residency increases gradually. Mean scores for 1st, 2nd, 3rd3 4th year resident were calculated as 8,3±2,51, 10,7±3,50, 14,5±7,18, 19,2±4,09 respectively. Conclusion: It can be concluded that Basic Principles In Gynecologic Surgery Course was beneficial for the participant. The corelation between benefit and residency years are striking.

Jinekolojik Cerrahide Temel Prensipler Kursu Öntest-Sontest Değerlendirme Sonuçları

Year 2018, Volume: 15 Issue: 1, 14 - 16, 01.01.2018
