The Mediating Role of Psychological Empowerment on the Relationship between Innovative Work Behavior and Transformational Leadership: A Research for Food and Beverage Employees of 5 Star Hotel Workes in Antalya

Abstract

In today's changing consumer demands and increasing quality expectations increase the importance of innovative work behavior. Innovative work behaviors of employees are affected by many factors. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of transformational leader on innovative work behavior and mediating role of psychological empowerment. The research was carried out with survey method on 700 employees who work in food and beverage departments of five stars hotel establishments operating in Antalya. As a result of the study, it was found that transformational leader had an effect on innovative work behaviors and psychological empowerment had a mediating role in this interaction.
