Journal of Health and Sport Sciences

ABOUT

Journal of Health and Sport Sciences (JHSS) is a scientific, open access, double-blind peer-reviewed national academic journal. This journal has been jointly published by the Faculty of Sport Sciences and the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Gedik University since 2018.

It accepts articles from Sport Sciences (coaching education, physical education and sports teaching, exercise and sport sciences, recreation, sports management and related sub-fields) and Health Sciences (nutrition and dietetics, nursing, physiotherapy and rehabilitation and related sub-fields). Also, it supports interdisciplinary works between these two fields. (Our journal will accept and publish articles as explained in the Aims and Scope sections starting from April 2027.)

JHSS adheres to the international standards for editors and authors set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). If they conform to the prescribed criteria, the journal accepts scientific research articles and theoretical articles, as well as research notes, academic translations, review articles, statistical analyses, case studies, and book reviews.

The publication language is Turkish and English. (Our journal will only accept English articles starting from April 2027.)

The journal is published online three times a year (April, August, December). Other than these regular issues, the journal also publishes “Special Issues” with prior notification.

All manuscripts submitted to JHSS for publication are evaluated via the DergiPark platform.
