Bu araştırmada özel gereksinimli okul öncesi öğrenci velilerinin özel eğitim sürecine ilişkin görüşlerini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenolojik desen ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında Samsun ilinin üç farklı ilçesinde bulunan bağımsız ana okullarda eğitim gören 40 okul öncesi özel gereksinimli öğrenci velisi oluşturmaktadır. Velilerin görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmak için araştırmacılar tarafından 12 maddeden oluşan bir soru formu hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda okul öncesi özel gereksinimli öğrenci velilerinin özel eğitim sürecine ilişkin görüşleri altı tema altında toplanmıştır. Velilerin görüşlerini yansıtan bu temalar; Gelişim, Farkındalık, Sınıf Mevcudu, Okul Yönetimi ve Rehberlik Servisi ile İşbirliği, Sınıf Araç Gereçleri ve Öğretmenle İletişim olarak sıralanmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularında yer alan temalar ve ilgili alıntılamalar birlikte değerlendirilip tartışılmıştır. Genel olarak velilerin özel eğitim sürecine dair hem olumlu hem de olumsuz çeşitli görüşlerinin bulunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bununla beraber velilerin büyük çoğunluğu özel eğitim sürecinin özel gereksinimli çocukların gelişimine büyük katkı sağladığını düşünmektedir.
In this study, it was aimed to examine the views of the parents of preschool students with special needs regarding the special education process. This study was carried out with a phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group of the research consists of 40 parents of special needs preschool students studying in independent kindergartens in three different districts of Samsun in the 2019-2020 academic year. A questionnaire consisting of 12 items was prepared by the researchers in order to reveal the views of the parents. Content analysis was performed in the analysis of the obtained data. As a result of the analysis, the opinions of the parents of preschool special needs students about the special education process were gathered on six themes. These themes reflecting the views of the parents are listed as Development, Awareness, Class Size, Cooperation with School Administration and Counseling Service, Classroom Equipment and Communication with the Teacher. The themes and related citations in the findings of the research were evaluated and discussed together. In general, it has been concluded that parents have both positive and negative views about the special education process. However, the majority of parents think that the special education process contributes greatly to the development of children with special needs.
