ANNE BABALARIN TELEVİZYON İZLEME ALIŞKANLIKLARI VE ÇOCUKLARININ TELEVİZYON İZLEME DAVRANIŞLARINI ETKİLEME DURUMLARI

Abstract

Günümüz yaşam koşulları içinde “medya” hayatımızın vazgeçilmez bir alanını oluşturmaktadır. Artık insanların çevrimiçi olmadıkları her an kaybedilmiş bir zaman olarak düşünülmektedir. Son elli yılda dünyada gelişen teknoloji ile hayatımız, tamamen dijital ortamın kapsama alanına girmiştir. Medyanın hayatımızda bu kadar yer edinmesi onu doğru kullanma adına da soru işaretlerini doğurmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, görev yaptığım Ankara İli Gölbaşı ilçesi TEK İlkokulu velilerinin televizyon izleme alışkanlıklarının, çocuklarının televizyon izleme davranışlarını etkileme durumları araştırılmıştır. Çocuklara Medya Okuryazarlığı bilincinin kazandırılabilmesi için okulda eğitimcilerin belli yeterlilikte olmasının yanında, evde de ebeveynlerin Medya Okuryazarlığı konusunda belli seviyede bilgi sahibi olması önem taşımaktadır. Çalışmanın kapsamında farklı değişkenlerin anne babaların medya okuryazarlık düzeyleri üzerinde etkisi olup olmadığı araştırılmış, medya okuryazarlık düzeyleri yüksek olan anne ve babaların, çocukları TV izlerken yanlarında bulunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu durum ebeveynlere verilecek doğru medya okuryazarlık eğitiminin önemini bir kez daha ortaya koymakta ve bundan sonra yapılacak çalışmalara ışık tutmaktadır.
