The Journal of Information Systems and Management Research is intended to be a fundamental resource for academics and professionals in the field of information technologies and management, which renews itself every day.

Journal of Information Systems and Management Research publishes original and innovative research results. This journal is a medium for experts and academics in different fields of information, information and management. In this context, wide applications of information, information, computers, technology and their management activities are included.

Articles to be sent to the Journal of Information Systems and Management Research;

• Turkish or English is accepted. If the article to be sent is in Turkish; the title, abstract and keywords must be in English.

• Materials sent to the journal; must include original research that has not been published or accepted in another publication, conference proceedings, etc.

• According to the evaluation policy of this journal, each article sent is sent to at least three independent referees by the relevant subfield editor given in the board. This is a peer-review process; therefore, the title and names of the authors should not be included in the evaluation version of the paper.

The Journal of Information Systems and Management Research (JISMAR) operates the publication processes of scholarly articles as an international peer-reviewed journal and continues its publishing activities in accordance with the following principles:
The journal is published twice a year (June and December).
JISMAR is published exclusively in electronic format.
The journal covers broad applications related to information, informatics, computing, technology, and their managerial activities. (For subtopics, please refer to our Aims and Scope section.)
Manuscripts submitted to the journal may be written in either Turkish or English.
The review and evaluation process of submitted manuscripts is conducted through the Double-Blind Peer Review method, ensuring that the identities of authors and reviewers remain concealed from one another.
The journal adopts an Open Access Publishing Policy.
No fees are charged for article publication or for accessing published articles. Likewise, no payments are made to authors or reviewers for accepted manuscripts.
The manuscript evaluation process is expected to take a maximum of six months for each article, depending on reviewer assessments.
If a “Revision” decision is issued, authors must complete the required revisions and upload the final version of the manuscript to the system within 15 days. If revisions are not submitted within the specified period, the editors reserve the right to reject the manuscript.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere for publication.
For studies previously used as a thesis, presentation, or abstract paper (excluding full-text papers) and submitted to our journal as an article, information regarding their prior use must be included as a footnote on the first page under the following conditions:
• If the study was published as an abstract paper, the title of the paper, the name of the event, date, and location must be provided.
• If the study was produced from a postgraduate thesis, the thesis title, the supervisor’s name, the university and institute, and the date and location of completion must be indicated.
• If the study was supported by a research institution or fund, the name of the supporting institution, the project number, and the completion date must be stated.
• For studies presented under other conditions and partially published, the event information must be clearly identifiable.
Before manuscripts are sent to reviewers, they are examined according to the following criteria; only manuscripts deemed suitable proceed to peer review:
• Compliance with author guidelines
• Formal adherence to the journal template
• Alignment with the journal’s aims and scope
• Conformity with publication principles
• Compliance with publication ethics
• Scientific merit and originality
Each article is evaluated by at least three reviewers, and as a prerequisite for acceptance, at least two reviewers must deem the article publishable. Following reviewer approval, the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board have the final authority to decide whether the article will be published.
All authors submitting manuscripts to the journal have equal rights. No privilege is granted to any study or author throughout the evaluation, acceptance, or publication processes. The publication order of accepted articles is determined based on acceptance dates; however, the Editorial Board reserves the right to make changes when deemed necessary.
Once an article is accepted for publication, the “Copyright Transfer Form” must be completed and signed by all authors and uploaded to the journal system.
Articles accepted for publication are published with JISMAR holding all publication rights.
All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening (e.g., iThenticate). If a similarity rate exceeding 20% is detected prior to publication, the manuscript is rejected without initiating the peer review process. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article is retracted, and an editorial note is issued to inform readers.

Authors who submit studies to our journal, referees who evaluate, and editors who are in the evaluation process are obliged to comply with the following points. In addition, our journal strives to manage the entire process transparently regarding the Core Practices (https://publicationethics.org/core-practices) that COPE has created for Authors and Editorial Boards.

In submitted and published studies, the Publication Ethics rules that all stakeholders in the study evaluation process must comply with are specified separately for each stakeholder. All stakeholders accept the presented rules and the publication principles stated in the journal.

Authors:
• Submitted, under evaluation or published studies should not be sent to another journal, should not be under evaluation or published,
• The study should not contain plagiarism and should have a maximum 20% similarity score from plagiarism screening applications (iThenticate etc.),
• The submitted studies should not contain any information that would allow inferences about the authors, including the file name, content and attachments,
• The order of authors is arranged according to the order of contribution to the study,
• The study has scientific quality and originality,
• In case of any permission requirement, all permissions are obtained and both stated in detail within the study and uploaded as an attachment during the uploading phase of the study,
• Studies removed from the thesis, presentation or report should be clearly stated,
• In case of conflict of interest, the editorship should be informed,
• The content should be presented in detail so that the study can contribute to the literature and other researchers can cite the source,
• The editorship should make the final decision on the study,
• The raw or processed data used in the study will be presented to the editorship upon request,
• The sources cited in the study will be accepted is accepted, reliable and recognizable,
• The funding sources used in the study should be stated correctly and clearly,
• The rules specified in the Copyright Transfer Form

Referees:
• Will examine the study fairly, quickly, effectively, objectively and in detail and present an evaluation report that will contribute to the study,
• Will comply with all confidentiality principles about the study throughout the process,
• In case of a conflict of interest, the editorship should be informed,
• The final decision is under the authority of the editorship,
• In case of a serious similarity between the study and another source or if it has been published in another medium, the editorship will be informed

Editors:
• Will evaluate the authors equally without any discrimination (language, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, etc.) and will act impartially in all processes,
• Will conduct the entire process confidentially for the confidentiality of both the authors and the referees,
• Will take steps to bring the process within the framework of fair and ethical principles in unethical situations such as conflict of interest

Research Ethics
Authors are deemed to have accepted the following issues regarding the research methods they apply in their studies:
• The research is original and up-to-date,
• The research was conducted in accordance with all ethical rules specified in the journal,
• Completing the process appropriately when it is necessary to obtain a legal/special permit,
• Presenting the research outputs with sufficient details so that they can be used by other researchers and the suggested methods can be re-applied,
• The funding sources provided for the research are clearly stated,
• The order of the authors is determined according to the level of contribution to the research,
• If necessary, the raw or processed forms of the data used will be submitted to the Editorial Office.

Obtaining a Legal/Special Permission Document
In cases where an Ethics Committee permit is required, it should be clearly stated in the article that the Ethics Committee permit was obtained (from which institution, on which date and with which decision or issue number the permit was obtained). In addition, if the study requires the use of human and animal subjects, it should be declared that the study was conducted in accordance with international declarations, guidelines, etc. For this reason, during the first upload of the study or in studies whose process has started, the ethics committee permit document should be uploaded to the system and specified within the study.
Situations requiring Ethics Committee approval are listed below:
• Any research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment, interview techniques,
• Use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
• Clinical research conducted on humans,
• Research conducted on animals,
• Retrospective studies in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law,
In addition;
• Indication that an “Informed Consent Form” was obtained in case reports,
• Use of scales, surveys, photographs belonging to others
