Contributions to the Knowledge of Dytiscidae (Insecta: Coleoptera) Fauna of Mardin Province

Abstract

The present study was carried out between April-2017 and September-2018 in Mardin Province with the aim of determination of the species of family Dytiscidae (Predaceous diving beetles). A total of 1414 dytiscid specimens were collected from 34 different localities and identified. Totally 28 species in 14 genera of family Dytiscidae were recorded. All of the identified species were new records for Mardin province.

Mardin ili Dytiscidae (Insecta: Coleoptera) Faunasına Katkılar

Abstract

Dytiscidae (Yırtıcı dalgıç böcekleri) familyasına ait türlerin belirlenmesine yönelik yapılan bu çalışma Nisan-2017 ile Eylül-2018 tarihleri arasında Mardin ili sınırları dâhilinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında Mardin ilinin 34 farklı lokalitesinden Dytiscidae familyasına ait toplam 1414 birey toplanıp teşhis edilmiştir. Çalışma ile Dytiscidae familyasının 14 cinsine ait 28 tür tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen türlerin hepsi Mardin ili için yeni kayıt özelliği göstermektedir.
