Estimation of Ecological Quality Using Aquatic Macrophytes in Lake Mogan

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to estimate the ecological quality according to aquatic macrophytes in shallow Lake Mogan. The abundance of submerged macrophytes were investigated in 2003 and 2013. Five species of submerged macrophytes (Ceratophyllum demersum L., Chara vulgaris L., Najas marina L., Myriophyllum spicatum L. and Stuckenia pectinata (L.) Börner) were identi ed. Ecological quality of Lake Mogan was estimated as bad in July 2013, while it was medium in July 2003.
