A Study on Ascidiacea (Tunicata, Chordata) Fauna of Ordu Province (Turkey)

Abstract

In this study, Ascidiacea specimens were collected from total 28 sampling station between May- October 2014 throughout coastline of Ordu province. 5 species (Ascidiella aspersa, Ciona intestinalis, Molgula manhattensis, Botryllus schlosseri, Botryllus sp.) belonging to 4 families were identified. All these species are the first records for Middle Black Sea Region (Turkey).

Ordu İli (Türkiye) Ascidiacea (Tunicata, Chordata) Faunası Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, 2014 yılı Mayıs-Ekim ayları arasında Ordu (Türkiye) ili sahil şeridi boyunca toplam 28 örnekleme istasyonundan Ascidiacea bireyleri toplanmıştır. Teşhis işlemi sonucunda 4 aileye ait 5 tür (Ascidiella aspersa, Ciona intestinalis, Molgula manhattensis, Botryllus schlosseri ve Botryllus sp.) tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen bu türlerin tamamı Orta Karadeniz Bölgesi için ilk kayıttır.
