3. Nesil Biyoyakıt Teknolojisi Alglerin bir Dizel Motorunda Performans ve Egzoz Emisyonlarına Etkisinin Araştırılması

Year 2015, Volume: 5 Issue: 3, 33 - 41, 30.09.2015

Abstract

3rd Generation Algae Biofuels Technology Investigation of the Effect of a Diesel Engine Performance and Exhaust Emissions

Year 2015, Volume: 5 Issue: 3, 33 - 41, 30.09.2015

Abstract

Biodiesel has attracted a great deal attention recently as an alternative fuel due to increasing fuel
prices and the imperative to reduce emissions. Among a wide range of biodiesel resources, microalgae are a
promising alternative fuel source because of the high biomass, lipid productivity and environmentally friendliness.
Microalgae is also a non-edible food, therefore, there will be no impact on the human food supply chain. In this
study, biodiesel was produced from microalgae by using the transesteri cation method, and the obtained microalgae
biodiesel was mixed with diesel fuel at various ratios and tested in a single-cylinder diesel engine.
