SUMMARY
In general practice, the author tends to believe that recording the protrusive movements of the mandible has no great effect to the end result of the complete dentures. This may have some scientific value and a teaching aid to students to have them realized that the movements of the mandible is not a purely hinge axial motion.
One can easily have the correct results by arranging wax bite properly according to the interpupillary line and Camper plane. Final correction of protrusive balanced articulation is achieved in the mouth by means of selective grinding of particular cusps and using abrasive paste at the end.
