SYSTEM THINKING
Abstract
In general, operation research to solve real problem, it does not intend to reach ideal, it aims
to reach better decision according to the values and inferences and use system approach to find
40
solution to the problem. In this study, system thinking is intended to explain. System thinking considers
problem from a holistic perspective. Considering all the aspects and all relationships between
components for solving problem constitutes system thinking. Systems thinking are a management
discipline that concerns an understanding of a system by examining the linkages and interactions
between the components that comprise the entirety of that defined system. So many problems that
plagues today are complex, includes many actor. Dealing with such problem is difficult and
traditional solution is getting more difficult problem in future. So system thinking is to seeing big
picture. By seeing big picture it is possible to think of new possibilities that did not come up with
previously. It can be said that in future system approach help decision makers to design and develop
system.
