Abstract

“Technology and English Language Teaching in a Changing World: A Practical Guide for Teachers and Teacher Educators”, edited by Ju Seong Lee, Di Zou, and Michelle Mingyue Gu (2024), offers a timely and practice-driven response to the transformation in L2 domain. This edited volume combines diverse studies, classroom cases, and pedagogical models that showcase how digital tools—ranging from role-playing games (RPGs) and automated feedback systems to memes and multimodal storytelling—meaningfully support L2 development, learner engagement, and teacher growth. The book is a part of Palgrave Macmillan’s “New Language Learning and Teaching Environments” series, edited by Hayo Reinders, which aims to highlight cutting-edge language learning technologies for language education inside and outside the classroom.

Abstract

Ju Seong Lee, Di Zou ve Michelle Mingyue Gu (2024)'nin editörlüğünü yaptığı “Değişen Dünyada Teknoloji ve İngilizce Öğretimi: Öğretmenler ve Öğretmen Eğitimcileri için Pratik Bir Rehber” kitabı, yabancı/ikinci dil alanında yaşanan teknolojik dönüşüme uygulamalı bir şekilde tam zamanında bir cevap sunuyor. Bu editörlü kitap, rol yapma oyunları (RPG) ve otomatik geri bildirim sistemlerinden çok modlu hikaye anlatımına kadar çeşitli dijital araçların yabancı/ikinci dil gelişimini, öğrencileirn derse katılımını ve öğretmenlerin gelişimini nasıl anlamlı bir şekilde desteklediğini gösteren bir çok çalışmayı bir araya getirmektedir. Kitap, Hayo Reinders'in editörlüğünü yaptığı Palgrave Macmillan'ın “Yeni Dil Öğrenme ve Öğretme Ortamları” serisinin bir parçası ve aynı zamanda sınıf içi ve dışı dil eğitimi için en son dil öğrenme teknolojilerini öne çıkarmayı hedeflemektedir.
