I**g-CLOSED SETS

Abstract

− In this paper, we introduce the notion of I ∗ ∗g -closed sets and prove that this class of sets is stronger than the class of gs∗ I -closed sets as well as the class of Ig-closed sets. Characterizations and properties of I ∗ ∗g -closed sets and I ∗ ∗g -open sets are given. A characterization of normal spaces is given in terms of I ∗ ∗g -open sets.
