ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION IN INTERNAL CONTROL SYSTEM

Abstract

Robotic process automation is a new wave of future technologies. Robotic process automation is one of the most advanced technologies in the field of computer science, electronics and communications, mechanical engineering and information technology. One of the areas where robotic process automation is useful is the internal control process. It is known that robotic process automation is useful to prevent human errors and loss of time in internal control. In internal control processes, the use of robotic process automation can be widely aplied in areas such as financial reporting, data integration and compliance controls. Implementing this technology can be an important step in increasing organizations' operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
In this thesis study, the use of robotic process automation in internal control applications is discussed and the "Robotic Process Automation" supported control process implemented in the internal control department of ABC company operating in the production/manufacturing sector is examined. In this context, the aim of the research is to examine the use of robotic process automation in the internal control system and the robotic process automation applied by a company for internal control regarding this use.

İÇ KONTROL SİSTEMİNDE ROBOTİK SÜREÇ OTOMASYONU

Abstract

Robotik süreç otomasyonu, geleceğin teknolojilerinin yeni bir dalgasıdır. Robotik süreç otomasyonu, bilgisayar bilimi, iletişim ve elektronik, makine mühendisliği ve bilgi teknolojisi alanındaki en ileri düzey teknolojilerden biridir. Robotik süreç otomasyonunun faydalı olduğu alanlardan biri de iç kontrol sürecidir. İç kontrolde insandan kaynaklı hataların ve zaman kaybının öne geçmek için robotik süreç otomasyonunun faydalı olduğu bilinmektedir. İç kontrol süreçlerinde, robotik süreç otomasyonunun kullanımı, finansal raporlama, veri entegrasyonu, uyumluluk kontrolleri gibi alanlarda yaygın olarak uygulanabilmektedir. Bu teknolojiyi uygulamak, kuruluşların operasyonel verimliliğini ve kontrol etkinliğini artırmada önemli bir adım olabilmektedir.
Bu çalışmada robotik süreç otomasyonunun iç kontrol uygulamalarında kullanımı ele alınmış ve üretim/imalat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir işletmenin iç kontrol departmanında uygulamakta olduğu “Robotik Süreç Otomasyonu” destekli kontrol süreci incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda araştırmanın amacı, iç kontrol sisteminde robotik süreç otomasyonunun kullanımı ve bu kullanıma ilişkin bir firmanın iç kontrol için uyguladığı robotik süreç otomasyonunun incelenmesidir.
