Towards a Wearable Embedded System for real time feedback in health and sports applications based on Bluetooth Wireless Sensor

Abstract

Real time feedback for sports and health applications is important for monitoring athletes to improve their performance and for patients and elderly people to save their lives. This paper presents a system based on Bluetooth wireless sensors to give real time feedback. This system is an example of IoT technology. Experiments are conducted in air and in water to examine the relationship between signal strength and distance in both mediums. The results showed that this system is feasible in the air for long distances and in water with and without turbidity for short distances.
