Research Articles

The Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Issues (JOHTI) includes applied or theoretical quantitative and qualitative research in the field of tourism. Interdisciplinary studies are considered important. Special issues are published in order to raise awareness in the scientific community on important topics. In this way, it is aimed to contribute to the tourism discipline.

• In studies produced from theses or previous research data, this should be stated in the article.
• The prepared research should be sent as a WORD file.

• Tables, graphics, figures and pictures should be sent in the text.
• Additional information (thanks, fund support, explanation etc.) should be after the bibliography.
• A short CV (maximum 250 words) of the authors should be uploaded with a separate file.
• Sign the copyright transfer form and send it over the system.

In English articles, if the references is included in the other languages, the  title of article or book should also be written in English.

Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Issues (Johti) is a refereed journal. JOHTI CABI indexed by Index Copernicus, Asos, Acar. 

Johti publishes twice a year (June-December) in Turkish and English language.

Journal publication policy

There is no fee for the articles sent to the journal.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not have been published elsewhere and have not been submitted for publication.

The responsibility of what is written in the articles belongs to the authors.

Open Access Policy

JOHTI participates in the Budapest Open Access Declaration. JOHTI accepts the open access proposal of the Declaration. We think that an open access policy must be in order for science to progress.

It also considers the "Creative Commons Attribution License (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International CC BY-NC-ND)" license for all articles published on Johti regarding the copyright of published articles.
Ethical Principles

The guidelines prepared by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) are taken into consideration for the ethical principles of JOHTI. We recommend all our stakeholders to follow the COPE rules.

Before submitting the articles, the similarity with plagiarism programs should be checked.

The rate of similarity of the submitted articles with the program is checked by the editors. Each similarity rate should not exceed 1% and the total similarity rate should not exceed 15%.

Submit Process

Please obtain the Orcid ID number (if any) from this site (https://orcid.org/register) before uploading the article to the system.

Please send the articles via the dergipark system. If you have not already registered in the system, first register on this link (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/register/). Then, please click to submit your manuscript.

Publication process

The articles that come to the journal are first examined in terms of compliance with the journal rules. It is then reviewed by the editor / advisory boards, after this phase, the referee process is started (double-blind review process). Articles accepted by the referee and editor / advisory board are examined in terms of language and expression. Finally, the accepted article is made ready for publication.

Authors should consider the recommendations of the referee and editor. Please indicate your changes for each of the referees' suggestions. If you disagree with the referees, explain the reasons (You can use this form to respond to the recommendations of the referees and editor.). After the referee has been informed of the corrections, send the corrected version within 15 days at the latest. 

We plan to complete the broadcast process as soon as possible. Pre-evaluation 5 days, referee evaluations 20 days, corrections made by the authors 15 days.
