Bir Güzellik Miti Olarak İncelik ve Kadınlarla İlgili Beden İmgesinin Televizyonda Sunumu

Abstract

Televizyon kitle iletişim araçları içinde etkili bir konuma sahiptir. Sosyokültürel ideallerin en güçlü aktarıcılarından biri olmasından dolayı toplumda önemli bir role sahiptir. Bu çalışmanın amacı televizyondan gelen imgelerin, toplumsal cinsiyet, özellikle de kadınların beden imgesi ile ilgili kalıpların oluşturulmasına nasıl hizmet ettiğini betimlemektir. Çalışma, televizyonda kadınların beden imgesi ile ilgili sunumlar ve bu sunumların kadınların kendileri ile ilgili oluşturdukları beden imgesine etkileri üzerine odaklanır. Beden imgesinin ne olduğu, toplumda ve televizyonda beden imgesi ile ilgili mesajların yoğunluğu ve inceliğin nasıl kadınlık ideali olduğu çalışmanın incelediği konulardır.
