Sosyal Hizmet Lisans Programlarında Araştırma Eğitimi: ABD ve Türkiye

Abstract

Tüm disiplin alanlarının lisans programlarında yer alan araştırma eğitimi her zaman incelemeye konu olmuş, değerlendirilmiş ve geliştirilmesi için öneriler oluşturulmuştur. Birçok üniversite ve birçok disiplinde olduğu gibi sosyal hizmet lisans eğitim programlarında da araştırma eğitimi önemle ele alınmakta, incelenmekte ve değerlendirilerek geliştirilmektedir. Yapılan çalışmalarda; sosyal hizmet öğrencilerinin araştırma eğitimi almalarının araştırma kavram ve becerileri üzerine olumlu etkisi olduğu gösterilmiştir. Sosyal hizmet lisans eğitimi diğer disiplin alanlarında olduğu gibi öğrenciyi mesleğine hazırlayan temel akademik programlardır. Bu nedenle lisans programının araştırma eğitimi hem eleştirel düşünme becerisinin geliştirilmesi hem de öğrenciyi kanıta dayalı mesleki uygulamalara hazırlaması açısından önemle ele alınmalıdır. Bu çalışmada, ABD ve Türkiye’de sosyal hizmet lisans programlarında yer alan araştırma eğitimi karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışma niteliksel içerik analizi yöntemiyle yapılmıştır. Lisans müfredat programları üniversite web sayfalarından incelenmiş ve iki ülkenin lisans araştırma eğitiminin yakın özelliklere sahip olduğu görülmüştür.
