The school gardens are defined as schools' external environment where the children are able to develop their social, physical, emotional and intellectual skills. Therefore, it is important that the planning and design of these places supply with children's physical, social and psychological needs. In this study, a sample of 10 elementary school playground in the city center of Edirne was carried out physical, cultural, and current situation analysis and the efficiency of school gardens have been produced. The current situation of the elementary school gardens was determined according to principles of landscape design, in this way proposals have been given to solve the existing problems
