This paper aims to discuss possible adaptations of the essential resources of the second term of the first-year architectural design studio under COVID-19 lockdown regulations through MEF University First Year Design Studio experiences. Design Studio fundamentals, such as accessibility and materiality, needed to be changed since actors participated from their hometowns due to the lockdown restrictions. The second term of the first-year design studio at MEF University particularly, is built onto the basic knowledge gained from the first term by improving it with material aspects such as structure, material, and site. Projects aim to form direct relationships with resources through analysis and experimentation. Adaptation of the second term program to remote studios poses more significant difficulties with its intense tactile and material state compared to the first period. Several resources contribute to the development of the projects, but three of them stand out in adaptation to the remote studio: Curriculum, studio as a workspace and site. There are still irreplaceable resources of the pre-covid term project but, online adaptations uncover new resources and achievements. The paper searches the possibility of overcoming challenges of architectural design studio during remote teaching through the reassessment of the resources through accessibility.
