All submissions to the Journal of Public Economy & Public Financial Management (JPEPFM) must follow the APA 7th edition (American Psychological Association, 7th edition) citation style. Manuscripts can be prepared in either Turkish or English and must not exceed 25 pages, including abstract, tables, figures, and references. Abstracts should be provided in both Turkish and English, written as a single structured paragraph, 9-point font, single line spacing, and justified alignment. Abstracts must be between 100 and 300 words and include 3–5 keywords and 2–4 JEL codes at the end.
Manuscripts should be organized according to the IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) format. The IMRAD structure can be explained in question form as follows: What problem is being investigated? Answer: Introduction; How was the problem investigated? Answer: Materials-Methods; What was found? Answer: Results; What do these findings mean? Answer: Discussion. The purpose of the Introduction is to provide readers with sufficient background to understand and evaluate the study’s results without needing to consult previous publications. The Introduction should also explain the rationale and need for the study. Authors should ensure the following are addressed: clearly describe the nature and scope of the research problem, review relevant literature to guide the reader, specify the research methodology and, if necessary, justify the chosen approach, present the main findings of the study, and clearly state the key conclusions derived from the results.
Submitted manuscripts must be prepared and uploaded according to the Journal Template. The template includes page layout, paragraph formatting, table and figure placement, heading hierarchy, and overall text formatting. Manuscripts not prepared according to the template will not be sent for peer review. The entire text should be Times New Roman, 11-point font, with 0 pt spacing before and 6 pt spacing after paragraphs, line spacing of 1.15, and no extra blank lines created using Enter. Headings should be hierarchically numbered, and bold or italic formatting should only be used for emphasis.
Tables and figures must be presented in the text with sequential numbering and captions, with captions placed above tables or figures. Figures should be submitted in high resolution and can be included as separate files if necessary. The reference list must follow APA 7 formatting, and all sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list. The reference list should be titled “References” for English manuscripts.
When uploading the manuscript, authors must include the Cover Page, Copyright Transfer Agreement, and similarity report from Turnitin, iThenticate, or a similar plagiarism detection program. If the study requires ethics committee approval, the relevant documents must also be uploaded. Manuscripts should be written in an academic and clear style, using formal and concise language. Abbreviations should be spelled out at first use, with the abbreviation in parentheses. English manuscripts should be carefully checked for language accuracy. Manuscripts should be uploaded in .doc or .docx format, and tables, figures, or supplementary files can be provided as separate attachments if necessary.
