Çalışmanın amacı; özel sektörün Türkiye’deki Klasik Batı Müziği hamiliğini Tarihsel Materyalizm bağlamında değerlendirmektir. Üretim ilişkilerini, tarihsel olayların ve insan ile alakalı her şeyin temel sebebi olarak yorumlayan bu düşünce şeklinin, müzik hamiliği ele alınırken kullanılması söz konusudur. Eczacıbaşı, Borusan ve Tekfen’in, araştırma evrenini temsil eden örneklemler olarak seçildikleri çalışmada, kuruluşların Klasik Batı Müziği hamiliği, yurtdışındaki bağlı ortaklıkları ve işbirliklerinin ağ analizi üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. “Özel sektörün Klasik Batı Müziği hamiliğinin, üretim ilişkileri ile bir bağlantısı var mıdır? Var ise bu müzik hamiliğine nasıl etki eder?” sorularına cevap aranmaktadır. Gephi programında ortaya konulan Türkiye dışındaki bağlı ortaklıklar ve işbirliği ağları, hata payının en aza indirgenmesi hedeflenerek nitel verilerle bir arada analiz edilmiştir. Kuruluşların resmi internet sitelerinden ve faaliyet raporlarından elde edilen niceliksel ve niteliksel verilerin bir sentezini ortaya koyan bu çalışmada, verilerin tümdengelimci bir yaklaşımla ele alınması hedeflenmiştir. Konserler, müzisyenler, besteciler, kullanılan çalgılar, konser konumları ve sponsor kuruluşlar da üretim ilişkileri bağlamında değerlendirilerek, müzik etkinliğini meydana getiren bütün unsurların tarihsel materyalist bir yaklaşım ile incelenmesi söz konusu olmuştur. Bu çerçeveden bakıldığı zaman, müzik hamiliğinin yurtdışındaki bağlı ortaklıklar ve işbirlikleri ile olan ilişkiselliği, araştırmanın merkezi olarak belirlenmiştir. Tarihsel materyalist bakış açısının, Türkiye’deki Klasik Batı Müziği hamiliğini, üretim ilişkilerinin etkisi altında şekillenen bir olgu olarak tanımlayabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the patronage of Western Classical Music by the private sector in Turkiye in the context of Historical Materialism. This way of thinking, which interprets the relations of production as the main reason for historical events and everything related to human, is used when considering the patronage of music. In the study where Eczacıbaşı, Borusan and Tekfen have been selected as samples representing the research population, the patronage of Classical Western Music of the organizations have been evaluated through the network analysis of their subsidiaries and collaborations abroad. “Does the patronage of Classical Western Music by the private sector have a connection with relations of production? If so, how does this affect the music patronage?” questions have been trying to be answered. The subsidiaries and cooperation networks outside Turkiye revealed in the Gephi program have been analyzed together with qualitative data, with the aim of minimizing the margin of error. In this study, which presents a synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data obtained from the official websites and annual reports of organizations, it is aimed to probe datas with a deductive approach. Concerts, musicians, composers, instruments, locations and sponsors have also been evaluated in the context of relation of productions. All the elements that make up the musical activity be probed with historical materialist approach. From this perspective, the relationship of music patronage with subsidiaries and partnerships abroad have been determined as the center of the study. It has been concluded that the historical materialist perspective can define the patronage of Western Classical Music in Turkiye, as a phenomenon shaped under the influence of relations of production.

The journal is published twice a year, in June and December. No fees are charged for publications, no fees are paid to the editors, the editorial board and the referees and their owners. It is accepted that the authors who submit articles to the contact address for publication in the journal should read and acknowledge this copyright statement.
“Journal of Social and Cultural Studies” is open to the work of all researchers who have the title “PhD” or “PhD student”. It is not obligatory that the second, third and fourth authors of the article have the title “PhD” or “PhD student”. An article should has been written by max. four authors. The articles prepared in accordance with the writing rules are presented to the referee for review after they have passed the editorial review. The reviewer may ask for a correction to the article, directly refuse or accept it. For the articles declined as a result of the reviewer evaluation, a second reviewer may be requested by the author, If the editors’ board finds that the request is appropriate, the article will be sent to a second reviewer.
The articles previously published in another publication or in the evaluation stage by another publication are not accepted into “Journal of Social and Cultural Studies” publication process. All the ethical and legal responsibilities related to the published articles belong to the authors.
