Ebelik Bölümü Öğrencilerinin Bireysel Yenilikçilik Düzeyleri ile Yapay Zekâya Yönelik Tutumları Arasındaki İlişkinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma, ebelik bölümü öğrencilerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyleri ile yapay zekâya yönelik tutumları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte olan araştırma, bir devlet üniversitesinin Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Ebelik Bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrenciler ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaya 250 gönüllü öğrenci katılmış olup bu oran toplam öğrencilerin %62’sini oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, kişisel bilgi formu, Yapay Zekâya Yönelik Genel Tutum Ölçeği ve Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS (Statistical Package of Social Science) 22.0 programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin bireysel yenilikçilik kategorilerine göre yapay zekâya yönelik pozitif tutumları arasında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur (p<0.001). Çoklu karşılaştırma analizinde, yenilikçi ve öncü özellikte olan öğrencilerin, kuşkucu özellikte olan öğrencilere göre daha olumlu tutumlara sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Negatif tutumlar açısından da anlamlı fark saptanmıştır (p=0.004). Gelenekçi öğrencilerin yenilikçi öğrencilere göre; kuşkucu ve sorgulayıcı öğrencilerin ise yenilikçi ve öncü öğrencilere göre daha fazla negatif tutuma sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuçlar ve Öneriler: Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin yarıdan fazlasının bireysel yenilikçilik özelliklerinin sorgulayıcı kategoride olduğu ve yapay zekâya yönelik pozitif tutumlarının olduğu görülmüştür. Ebelik öğrencilerinin yenilikçi bakış açıları ve yapay zekâya yönelik bilgi düzeylerinin artırılması için müfredatta bu konulara yer verilmesi ve tartışma ortamlarının oluşturulması önerilmektedir.

Araştırma öncesinde katılımcılara çalışmanın amacı ve kapsamı hakkında bilgi verilmiş, araştırmaya katılımın gönüllülük esasına dayandığı açıklanmış ve araştırmaya katılan bireylere araştırmanın amacı açıklanarak Bilgilendirilmiş Onam Formu ile sözlü ve yazılı onamları alınmıştır. Katılımcıların kimlik bilgileri gizli tutulmuş, elde edilen veriler yalnızca bilimsel amaçlarla kullanılmıştır.

Determining The Relationship Between the Individual Innovation Levels of Midwifery Students and Their Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

Aim: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the individual innovativeness levels of midwifery students and their attitudes towards artificial intelligence. Method: This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with students studying in the Midwifery Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at a state university. 250 volunteer students participated in the study, which constitutes 62% of the total student body. Data were collected using a personal ınformation form, the General Attitude Towards Artificial Intelligence Scale, and the Individual Innovativeness Scale. The obtained data were evaluated using SPSS (Statistical Package of Social Science) 22.0 program. Results: A significant difference was found between the positive attitudes of students towards artificial intelligence according to their individual innovativeness categories (p<0.001). In the multiple comparison analysis, it was determined that students with innovative and pioneering characteristics had more positive attitudes than students with skeptical characteristics. A significant difference was also found in terms of negative attitudes (p=0.004). It was observed that traditional students had more negative attitudes than innovative students; skeptical and inquisitive students had more negative attitudes than innovative and pioneering students. Conclusion and Recommendations: The research results showed that more than half of the students’ individual innovative characteristics were in the inquisitive category and that they had positive attitudes towards artificial intelligence. It is recommended that these topics be included in the curriculum and discussion forums be created to increase midwifery students’ innovative perspectives and knowledge levels regarding artificial intelligence.
