Temel Bilgisayar Uygulamaları Dersinde Öğrenme İçerik Yönetim Sistemi Kullanımı

Abstract

Araştırmada e-öğrenme türlerinden biri olan Öğrenme İçerik Yönetim Sistemlerinin Hava Astsubay Meslek Yüksek Okulunda, bilgisayar uygulamaları dersinde öğrencilerin başarısı üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Joomla İçerik Yönetim Sistemi ile çevrim dışı bir eğitim portalı geliştirilerek, içerisine eklenen öğrenme dönüştürülmüştür. Geliştirilen sisteme JTÖİYS adı verilerek bilgisayar laboratuarına kurulmuştur. JTÖİYS sisteminin amacı, öğrencilere ders çalışırken ek kaynak görevi üstlenme olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğrenme materyalleri hazırlanmadan önce öğrencilerin öğrenme stilleri Felder-Solomon Öğrenme Stilleri envanteri ile belirlenmiştir. Farklı öğrenme stillerine göre hazırlanmış eğitim materyaleri JTÖİYS üzerine yüklenmiştir. Araştırmada ön-test son-test, kontrol gruplu nicel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırma grubuna 167, kontrol grubuna 165 öğrenci rastgele seçilerek 15 hafta süreyle, bilgisayar laboratuarlarında uygulama yapılmıştır. Kontrol grubunda derslerde JTÖİYS kullanılmazken deney grubunda JTÖİYS kullanılmıştır. 2x2 tekrarlı ölçümler ANOVA analizi ile dönem başı ve sonunda yapılan ön-test ve son-test sonuçları analiz edilerek kontrol ve deney grubu başarı ortalamaları arasında anlamlı fark olduğu görülmüştür

Using A Learning Content Management System in Computer Literacy Course

Abstract

Aim of this research was to examine effects of Learning Content Management System which has many advantages, over Air Force NCO College student’s success in Computer Literacy Course. In this study, offline portal, JTÖİYS developed with Joomla, was used in an intranet laboratory. Furthermore, JTÖİYS’s purpose was guiding students and publishing different kinds of learning materials such as practices, surveys and exams. Before preparing the learning materials, students’ learning styles were identified by Felder-Solomon learning index. Pre-test – post-test quantitative research design with control group was chosen. Research group(167) and control group(165) consisted of 332 students. The control group took lessons in classic way and the research group took lessons with JTÖİYS for 15 weeks. In the pre-test and post-test results attained by repeated measure 2x2 ANOVA, the research group’s success was found meaningfully greater than the control group
