Sultan Izzeddin Mesut's Struggle with Emir Gazi's Children
Abstract
The State of Seljuks, which left her mark on Middle Ages, had been a stage to lots of Sultanate fights during her reign. These conflicts which were not only bounded to the sovereignty policy of the state but also the lack of rules for royalty caused one or more Sultanate fights during each sultan's era. During her reign the State which had to get in the outer struggles with other states, she had to deal with her own internal problems as well. These problems, which she lived in her own right, had occured by the endeavours of the caliph of the period, and by army commanders and by the plots of the other countries. Unfortunately, these internal problems affected the lifespan of the State significantly. In the covered subject, the period of Mesud, who was one of the Seljuk State sultans,was investigated. Nominately, to keep control of the sultanate Sultan Mesud's struggle with Emir Gazi's children is remarkable and this struggle constitutes the centerboard of the study.
