Abstract

Günümüzde, dünya liderleri, ekonomik ve politik kararlarını 2030 Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedeflerine dayanarak uygulamaya koymaktadırlar. Ülkeler ekonomik büyüme ve kalkınma süreçlerini devam ettirirken, doğaya ve çevreye daha az zarar vermenin ve doğal kaynakların daha verimli kullanılmasının yol ve teknikleri üzerine odaklanmaktadırlar. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma için 2030 Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri önemli ve iyi bir rehber özelliği taşımaktadır. 2015 yılında Birleşmiş Miller tarafından öne sürülen 2030 sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri oldukça ayrıntılı 17 temel hedef sunarak dünya ülkelerine yol göstermeye başlamıştır. 2030 Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri çok çeşitli temalarda sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanabilmesi için hangi amaçların gerçekleştirilmesi gerektiğini belirtmektedir. Denizler ve sualtı yaşam ile ilgili olarak da Hedef-14’ün amacı ülkelerin denizlerin korunması, sualtı yaşamın devamlılığı ve çeşitliliğin korunmasına ilişkin yol gösterici unsurları göstermektedir. Bu bağlamda, çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’nin 2030 Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedeflerine göre denizleri ve deniz ürünlerinin mevcut durumunu inceleyerek, Türkiye’deki denizler ve deniz ürünlerine yönelik bir profil vermektir.

The Profile of Turkey’s Sea and Seafood in the context of Sustainable Development

Abstract

Today, world leaders are implementing their economic and political decisions based on the sustainable development goals. While countries continue their economic growth and development processes, they focus on ways and techniques that are less harming nature and the environment and using natural resources more efficiently. 2030 Sustainable Development Goals are an important and good guide for sustainable development. These goals put forward by United Miller in 2015 started to guide the world countries by offering 17 very detailed targets. 2030 Sustainable Development Goals specify what goals need to be achieved to achieve sustainability across a wide range of themes. Regarding seas and underwater life, the aim of Goal-14 shows the guiding elements of the conservation of the seas, the continuity of underwater life and the protection of diversity. In this context, the purpose of the study is to present a profile for Turkish seas and seafood through investigating the current status of Turkish seas and seafood according to sustainable development goals.
