Abstract

Ju Ming is a Taiwanese sculptor, who is very well known and followed by the world of art and collectors in countries like Taiwan, China, Singapore, and in both America and Europe as well, however there is no evidence of written information about the artist in Turkey. Thus the aim of this study is to analyze both his art philosophy and works, and to examine the success and reputation he gained in a global sense. The majority of the written and visual data used within this research study have been gathered by the researcher during her visit to the “Ju MingSculpting the Living World” entitled exihibition, which was realized in Hong Kong between 28 February - 15 June 2014

HEYKELTIRAŞ JU MING’IN SANAT HAYATI VE ESERLERİ 2014 HONG KONG SANAT MÜZESİ SERGİSİ

Abstract

Tayvanlı bir heykeltıraş olan Ju Ming, Tayvan, Çin ve Singapur gibi Asya ülkelerinin yanı sıra Avrupa ve Amerika’da da sanat çevreleri ve koleksiyoncuları tarafından çok iyi tanınan ve takip edilen bir sanatçıdır ancak Türkiye’de Ju Ming hakkında yayınlanmış bir yayına rastlanmamıştır. Bu araştırmanın amacı da Ju Ming’in sanat hayatını, eserlerini ve felsefesini incelemek ve sanatçının küresel boyutta ulaştığı başarı ve ünü irdelemektir. Araştırmada kullanılan veri ve görsellerin büyük çoğunluğu, araştırmacının 28 Şubat-15 Haziran 2014’te Hong Kong Sanat Müzesi’nde gerçekleşen “Ju Ming-Sculpting the Living World” adlı kişisel sergisinin ziyareti sırasında edinilmiştir.
