Abstract

XVIII. yüzyıl Batısında kadın hakları talebi ve erkeği kamusal alanla kadını ise özel alanla eşleştiren bakış açısının eleştirisiyle
ortaya çıkan feminizm, zamanla İslam dünyasını da etkilemiştir. İslamî bir forma bürünen ve “İslamî feminizm” ifadesiyle ele alınan
feminizm de Müslüman çevrede erkek egemenliğine ve cinsiyet eşitsizliğine karşı ortaya çıkan sorgulamaları ve protestoları kapsayan
bir terim olarak konuşulmaya başlamıştır. Bir kavram ve fikir olarak İslamî feminizmin ne olduğu ve nasıl değerlendirilmesi gerektiği
noktasında birçok eser ortaya konmuştur. Bu yazıda değerlendirmesi yapılacak olan Zahra Ali’nin derlediği Öykü Elitez’in dilimize çevirdiği İslami Feminizmler isimli kitap üç ana bölümden oluşmaktadır.
