Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı renal sinüs lipomatozu olan hastaların bulgularını sunmak ve konuyu güncel literatür eşliğinde gözden geçirmektir.YÖNTEMMayıs 2010 - Eylül 2011 tarihleri arasında radyoloji departmanında elde edilen bütün bilgisayarlı tomografi görüntüleri retrospektif olarak incelendi. Renal sinüs lipomatozu olan 11 olgu ayırt edildi ve klinik ve laboratuar bulguları ile yeniden değerlendirildiler.BULGULARRenal sinüs lipomatozu tanısı alan beş erkek ve altı kadın hasta vardı. Hastaların yaşları 36 ve 80 arasında değişmekteydi. Hastalardan yedisinde geyik boynuzu taşı izlendi. Hastaların çoğu asemptomatik olsa da, bazı hastalarda non-spesifik karın ağrısı, akut pankreatit ve pyelonefrit izlendi. SONUÇRenal sinüs lipomatozu selim bir hastalık da olsa konvansiyonel tanısal yöntemleri kullanarak ürolojik tümörlerden ayırt edilmeleri zordur. Bilgisayarlı tomografi kesin tanıda ve adipoz dokunun yaygınlığını belirlemede yararlıdır. Ancak, renal sinüs lipomatozu tanı ve sağaltımı için radyoloji, üroloji ve patoloji departmanlarının multidisipliner çalışmaları gerekir.
Abstract
AIMThe aim of this study is to present the findings of patients with renal sinus lipomatosis and review the subject in the light of the recent literature.METHODSAll computerized tomography images obtained in the radiology department between 2010 May – 2011 September were examined retrospectively. Eleven cases diagnosed with renal sinus lipomatosis were isolated and re-evaluated with their clinical and laboratory findings.RESULTSThere were five male and six female patients diagnosed with the renal sinus lipomatosis. The ages of the patients varied between 36 and 80. Stag horn calculi formation was observed in seven patients. Majority of the patients were asymptomatic, however some experienced non-specific abdominal pain, acute pancreatitis and pyelonephritis.CONCLUSIONAlthough the renal sinus lipomatosis is a benign pathology the differential diagnosis with urological tumours may be difficult by using conventional diagnostic tools. Computerized tomography aids in the final diagnosis and determines the level of adipose tissue proliferation. However the diagnosis and the management of renal sinus lipomatosis require the multidisciplinary work of the departments of radiology, urology and pathology.
