Akut Gastroenteritli Çocuklarda Adenovirüs ve Rotavirüs Sıklığı

Abstract

ÖZET Amaç: Enfeksiyon etkenlerinden olan virüsler çocuklarda akut gastroenteritlerin önemli nedenlerindendir. Rotavirüs ve adenovirüse bağlı gastroenteritlerin epidemiyolojisi ile ilgili veriler bölgelere göre değişmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Kafkas Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ne akut gastroenterit nedeniyle başvuran çocuk hastalarda adenovirüs ve rotavirüs sıklığını belirlemektir. Materyal ve Metot: Hastaneye 30.10.2013 – 30.10.2018 tarihleri arasında akut gastroenterit ön tanısıyla başvuran 3763 hastanın dışkı örneklerine ait kayıtlar retrospektif olarak incelendi. Adenovirüs ve rotavirüs antijenlerinin varlığı kalitatif immünokromatografik test ile araştırıldı. Olguların laboratuar verileri SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) programı 16.0 kullanılarak analiz edildi. İstatistiksel anlamlılık için p<0,05 alındı. Bulgular: Çalışmada toplam 3763 hastanın 744’ü (%20) viral antijen yönünden pozitif bulundu. Bu örneklerin 549’unda (%74) rotavirüs, 53’ünde (%7) adenovirüs ve 142’sinde (%19) rotavirüs ve adenovirüs birlikte pozitif olarak tespit edildi. Viral antijen pozitif çıkan hastaların 355’i (%48) kız hasta, 389’u (%52) erkek hasta idi. En sık 0–2 yaş grubunda antijen pozitifliğinin olduğu (%84) ve mevsimsel olarak incelendiğinde kış ve ilkbahar mevsimlerinde daha sık olduğu tespit edildi. Sonuç: Çocukluk çağı akut gastroenterit enfeksiyonlarında gaita örneklerinde parazitolojik ve bakterilojik incelemelerin yanında viral antijenlerin de bakılması etiyolojik ajanın belirlenmesi ve tedavi açısından önemlidir. Viral gastroneteritlerde semptomatik tedavi verilirken, ampirik antibiyotik kullanımının önlenmesi ve rotavirüs gastroenteritlerini azaltmak için rotavirüs aşısının toplumda yaygınlaştırılmasının önemi vurgulandı.
