• Korkut Ata Journal of Engineering and Natural Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published biannually in June and December.
• The publication language of the journal is exclusively English.
• The journal operates with a free open-access publication approach.
• No fees are requested from authors or readers for manuscript submission, preliminary evaluation, peer-review, acceptance, publication, or access processes.
• All published articles are provided with free and open access and are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

2. Ethical Principles and COPE Guidelines

• The journal strictly adheres to national and international academic publishing standards and the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
• In cases of suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or authorship violations, necessary evaluation, correction, retraction, and notification processes are conducted in accordance with COPE guidelines.
• Ethical violations, complaints, and appeals are evaluated objectively, and all necessary actions are officially recorded.

3. Preventative Mechanisms and Author Declarations

• The journal actively operates preventative mechanisms against ethical violations, which include similarity analysis, ethics committee and consent control, conflict of interest declarations, and author contribution statements.
• Authors are strictly required to provide necessary declarations and documents regarding open data, research ethics, the protection of personal data, and explicit ethics committee permissions when applicable.
• Article metadata must be entered completely, the use of author ORCID information is actively encouraged, and the principle of accuracy and transparency is observed in all institution and author information.

4. Editorial and Peer-Review Process

• Submitted studies undergo a double-blind peer-review process by at least two field expert reviewers following an editorial preliminary review and a similarity check.
• The peer-review process is executed in strict accordance with the principles of scientific neutrality, confidentiality, transparency, and editorial independence.
• The Editorial Board, editors, and reviewers are selected by carefully considering field expertise, institutional diversity, inclusivity, and conflict of interest principles.
• The final publication decision is made exclusively by the editorial board based on reviewer reports and the overall editorial evaluation.
