Ethical principles are required for every individual
and the intellectual sector which has the most effective power in the formation
of collective consciousness of societies is expected to adhere to these
principles more. In response to this expectation of society, Âcurri wrote Ahlâku’l-Ulemâ
and tried to reveal the milestones of the scholars in the journey of knowledge
under the guidance of Sunnah. In particular, the title of debating / debating
candidate attracted our attention. Particularly in recent years, mass media and
discussion programs on social media, it is observed that opposing viewers
sometimes discuss “religion-based” issues without any measure of mercy. This
introductory paper is written to reconsider or remember the manners of debate
that should be followed in such discussions.
