SAĞLIK VE SOSYOLOJİ EKSENİNDE YAZILAN LİSANSÜSTÜ TEZLERİN ANALİZİ: GELİŞİM, DÖNÜŞÜM VE DİSİPLİNLER ARASI YANSIMALAR

Abstract

Bu çalışma sosyoloji ve sağlıkla ilgili lisansüstü tezleri incelemeyi, bu çalışmalardaki ilgi ve eğilimleri saptamayı ve yıllara göre konularda veya yöntemde bir değişiklik olup olmadığını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma içerik analizi tekniğiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ulusal Tez Merkezi’ne kayıtlı 5,567 tez taranmış, eleme süreci sonucunda örnekleme girmeye uygun 758 lisansüstü tez olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kapsama giren tezlerin en eskisi 1990, en yenisi 2024 yılında yazılmıştır. Daha önceki döneme oranla son on yılda en çok artış gösteren tez konularında ilk üç sırada salgın, yoksulluk ve göç/ göçmen konuları bulunmaktadır. Bulgular, farklı disiplinlerde ve enstitülerde üretilen tezlerde toplumsal cinsiyet, beden, sağlık çalışanları ve engellilik gibi temaların da sık çalışıldığını göstermektedir. Sağlık sosyolojisinin disiplinler arası niteliğinin güçlendiği, sosyolojik perspektifin farklı akademik alanlarda giderek daha fazla benimsendiği gözlenmiştir.

ANALYSIS OF POSTGRADUATE THESES WRITTEN ON THE AXIS OF HEALTH AND SOCIOLOGY: DEVELOPMENT, TRANSFORMATION, AND INTERDISCIPLINARY REFLECTIONS

Abstract

This study aims to analyze graduate theses related to sociology and health, identify their main interests and trends, and determine whether there have been thematic or methodological shifts over time. The research was conducted using content analysis. A total of 5,567 theses from the National Thesis Center were reviewed, and 758 were found eligible for inclusion. The publication years of the theses range from 1990 to 2024. Compared to earlier periods, the last decade saw the highest increase in topics related to pandemics, poverty, and migration. Findings indicate that themes such as gender, the body, healthcare professionals, and disability are frequently studied in theses produced across disciplines and institutions. It has been observed that the interdisciplinary nature of health sociology is strengthening and the sociological perspective is increasingly being adopted in different academic fields.
