The Karatay Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance seeks to advance scholarly discourse by publishing original, high-quality research in the fields of Islamic economic history, the practice and theory of Islamic economics, Islamic commercial law, Islamic finance, participation banking, as well as macroeconomics and microeconomics within an Islamic framework. The journal aims to make a meaningful contribution to the academic literature and the broader understanding of these disciplines.
The Karatay Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance, published by the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance at KTO Karatay University, is an international peer-reviewed journal issued biannually. It accepts original articles prepared in Turkish and English. The journal covers original scientific research in the field of Islamic economics and finance, encompassing critical and evaluative studies using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods, as well as original ideas and model proposals.

General Principles
1. Articles submitted for publication in KARJIEF must not have been published or submitted for publication on any other platform.
2. Articles not in line with the journal's publication purpose are directly rejected.
3. Articles containing any legally offensive statements are directly rejected.
4. Necessary corrections suggested during the preparation stages for publication will be proposed to the author. KARJIEF reserves the right to reject the article at any stage.
5. The copyright of the submitted articles belongs to KARJIEF from the moment they are published.
6. Even if an article is accepted, it will be removed from publication if it is later found not to meet ethical standards.
Author Responsibilities
1. The submitted article must be prepared in accordance with ethical rules.
2. The originality of the submitted articles is considered to be accepted by the author or authors. Articles must not have been published on any platform, in any language, or submitted for publication on any platform.
3. Copyrighted materials used in articles will only be published with valid permission and copyright approval. The responsibility for obtaining such permissions lies with the article author.
4. The article author accepts that the rights to the tables, figures, and other materials used in the article belong to them and that appropriate citations are made in the case of quotations. Thus, any legal responsibility in the contrary case lies with the author.
5. Authors listed in the article should be limited to those who made significant contributions to the article. Authors are obliged to promptly contact the relevant editor if they notice any scientific error, even if their article has been published.
Reviewer Responsibilities
1. Reviewers evaluate incoming articles objectively, solely based on scientific content.
2. Reviewers must have no conflict of interest or competitive relationship with the authors.
3. Reviewers should decline to evaluate the article if they have contributed to the article's writing process. In this case, the article will be presented to another reviewer.
4. Reviewers must complete the article evaluation form thoroughly and in detail. If a rejection decision is made, the reason for the rejection must be explained in detail.
5. Reviewers should not seek to gain any benefit from the articles they review.
6. Reviewers must indicate publications that have not been cited in the articles. They are obliged to keep all information regarding the article confidential and to notify the editor of any plagiarism detected by the author.
7. If the reviewer believes that the submitted article does not cover their field or cannot be evaluated within the timeframe, they should inform the journal editor and withdraw from the evaluation. In this case, the article will be presented to another reviewer.
