Writing Rules

Writing Rules

1) General Writing Guidelines
• Prepare your work in accordance with our journal's Microsoft Word (doc.) format template. Click here to download the writing template!
• Since our journal does not charge any fees from the authors, it is the responsibility of the authors to prepare and submit their work in full compliance with the writing guide and template. The writing template includes all general text formats, page margins, paragraph formatting, table and figure formatting, and title formatting. Authors can arrange their texts by copying them directly into this file.
• KARJIEF accepts works prepared in both Turkish and English.
• Authors are legally responsible for their work. In addition, authors are considered to have accepted the open access policy and the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Public License (CC BY-NC 4.0).
The following forms, signed by all authors, must be uploaded to the DergiPark system.
Author Contribution Form
Copyright Transfer Form
Conflict of Interest Statement
• The signed version of the "Statement Form Declaring That the Article Does Not Require Ethical Committee Approval" must be filled out and uploaded to the DergiPark system if the study is not subject to any ethical approval.
• For studies requiring ethical committee approval, the signed "Ethics Statement Form" must be uploaded to the DergiPark system.
• In addition, authors should ensure that the copyright form and author contribution declaration form linked in the system are also completed and submitted.
2) Word Count Limits
• The articles, including abstract, tables, and appendices but excluding references, should be between 5,000-8,000 words.
• Turkish and English abstracts should be between 100-200 words. At the end of the abstracts, there should be 5 keywords and at least 1, but no more than 4, JEL codes.
• KARJIEF uses the intihal.net program to check the similarity rate of the works and to prevent plagiarism.
• It is mandatory for authors to upload the similarity report, obtained from intihal.net or a similar plagiarism prevention program, to the system during the submission of their work.
• If the similarity report taken via intihal.net by the journal secretariat shows a similarity rate above 20%, excluding references and matches of fewer than 5 words, the work will be rejected by the editorial board.
3) Citation System
• The APA 7 or the latest guide should be used as the citation system in the works. For references to scientific articles, if the article has a DOI number, it should be added at the end of the citation in the format: https://doi.org/10.1037/ppm0000185
• In works submitted to our journal in English, in-text citations should be formatted as follows: if referring to a single page number (Özdemir & Aktaş, 2008, p. 107), and if referring to multiple pages from the same source (Özdemir, 2008, pp. 107-113). For works with multiple authors, the "&" symbol should be used between authors' names in both in-text citations and the reference list.
• For detailed information on special citation cases not covered by the examples below, see https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples
